PESA Doctoral and Postgraduate Presentation Award Dec 2023

A note of my thanks to the Philosophy of Education Society of Australasia for awarding a PESA Doctoral and Postgraduate Presentation Award for my presentation at last week's PESA conference in Auckland, NZ, and to some of the brilliant and generous academics in my life that have contributed to this success. I missed the conference dinner so am saying thank you here!

I would like to express my gratitude to the Philosophy of Education Society of Australasia for awarding me a PESA Doctoral and Postgraduate Presentation Award. These may be given to high-quality presentations with significant philosophical content, that are succinct and clear, engaging, have a degree of novelty, and are given by doctoral/postgraduate students at PESA conferences.

Thank you to the conference organisers and PESA executive for such an excellent conference in Auckland last week. I extend particular thanks to Associate Professor Daniella Forster for attending my session and listening to and providing feedback on my paper, and my PhD supervisors at the University of Melbourne, Dr Dianne Mulcahy and Professor Jane Kenway, for their unwavering support of my scholarly development.

I would also like to thank Professor Bernadette Walker-Gibbs and Professor Joanna Barbousas for supporting my academic work at La Trobe, and Professor Jo Lampert for her generosity in making my travel to NZ possible.

Lastly, I thank Dr Jennifer Cutri, Dr Cassandra Tytler, Dr And Pasley, and Dr Toni Ingram for their excellent company and conversation throughout the conference.
